Boxcar No. 1927 was built in November 1977 by FMC Corporation at their plant in Portland, Oregon as Meridian & Bigbee (M&B) No. 4081. It was one of thousands of FMC 5347 boxcars constructed, so named for the cars’ cubic foot capacity.

The car was acquired by Marquette Rail in November 2007 and became MQT No. 1042. It went to the Laurinburg & Southern in April 2017 as LRS No. 7933 and was transferred again to the Columbus & Greenville in June 2023 as CAGY No. 7933. Control was eventually acquired by the Alabama & Gulf Coast Railway (AGR), a subsidiary of Genesee & Wyoming. AGR donated the boxcar to TOYX, Inc. in October 2025. The rail movement of the boxcar from Alabama to New Jersey was donated by Norfolk Southern.

The car will be renumbered as TOYX No. 1927 and will be used to collect toys for Operation Toy Train in Morris and Warren Counties in New Jersey. The No. 1927 is currently stored on the Dover & Rockaway River Railroad in Rockaway, NJ, where it resides between Operation Toy Train’s seasonal toy collection trains.
